From Autumn to Winter is a three-channel video installation reflecting on change, loss, and renewal through the quiet rhythm of Nordic seasons.
The work employs camera-less exposure with local plants on 35mm and 16mm film, using a range of handmade processes, from phytogram reactions to mordançage chemical etching, allowing the physical presence of plants to leave direct traces on celluloid.
Projected across three walls with an enveloping soundscape, it invites viewers into a meditative space to contemplate impermanence, the passage of time, and nature’s quiet resilience that endures beyond decay.
The work was developed during an artist residency at Filmverkstaden,
and partially supported by the National Culture and Arts Foundation (NCAF).
